Any chance getting a ROTC scholarship?

Do I have a chance of getting the ROTC scholarship?

  • I am going into junior year of high school and I'm going to apply for the army ROTC 4 year scholarship. I have a 3.7 weighted GPA and a 3.4 cumulative. I didn't take the SAT or ACT yet but I think I should do fine in that. I am captian of my schools golf team, I do volunteer work/ community service, and I'm going to be in student council this upcoming year. What are my chances of getting the scholarship? Also how many scholarships are given out per year?

  • Answer:

hey idk how to respond to your second part other than here, but again your chances are good just apply early and it also helps if you know what school you know you want to go to. You may get the scholarship for that school or not if not they will more than likely work with you to get the scholarship. The answer about a recommendation, is yes you need one, i think they only ask for one but 2 or more never hurts and it really doesn't matter who its from. My advice again is from like a teacher or a coach or one who is both. In that case they can talk about how you preform academically and physically and how you behave with your team and what not there basically bs so the more you do the better and the better you know the person the better. Its basically like a college recommendation letter, one of my teachers just replaced every college with scholarship and it came out fine
