What do have to study in college to work for an embassy?

What is work study please help paying for college?

  • i was offered (this semester or this year idk) 5000 for work study. i dont really know what work study is. i was also offered loans. im going to an affordable college--with books, fees, and tuition and everything i owe about 2500 this semester. i took the loans bc idk what work study is...if i just did work study instead of loans, would i owe any money? does work study money go into my bank account or does it go directly to my college expenses? how many hours a week is it typically? would i need another part time job for extra money for gas and clothes and food? if i did work study, since i only owe 2500 and the work study is 5000...do i just accept for 2500...how does it all work?

  • Answer:

5000 is for the year, so you would only be able to earn a maximum of 2500 since you didn't go to school last semester, apparently. Work study is just like a regular job. You work and get paid just like a regular job. The money goes directly to you and you can use it to buy whatever you want, whether or not it's school-related. You don't get it all in one lump sum, you have to earn the money by working (usually for the school on campus). But whereas a normal job doesn't have a cap on what you can earn, with work study you cannot earn more than 2500 this semester without getting special permission to go beyond that cap.
