Do student loans go to the school or directly to the student?

Could i live in a apartment with 2 other people and go to school and get student loans?

• I'm a senior in high school.. I have 4 months to graduate.. I wanna become a cosmetologist. I want to live in an apartment with 2 of my friends. I don't have a job yet but hopefully in about 2 weeks I will so.. Say I only have 4000 to 5000 when I move into the apartment and school starts and get student loans and I have a job when I move down there... Would that be able to work? I have to pay for my college by the way.. What would be best?? I'm just askin could I live with 2 other people and get student loans? Would that work??

  I think a lot of people live on their own, work and attend school concurrently. But if you have the option of living at home and going to cosmetology school near where you live, that's a great way to save money so it's not so tough to get through school. Have you thought about applying for cosmetology scholarships to help pay for school? I linked to some information about that below. Hope it helps!
