What's it like to live in a college campus?

The college I'm attending says that I have to live on campus - I already have appartment.?

  • I will be 20 in October, and the college I am getting ready to go to requires all undergraduate students under age 21 must live on campus. I already recieved one degree from a tech. school, and am now going for a bachelors degree. My friend and I moved to Nashville (I'm going to Belmont), and signed a 2 year lease for an appartment that is 8 miles from our school. I cant afford to live on campus, and honestly dont want to. Is there any way around this where they will allow me to attend the school, and still live off campus although I do not meet the normal requirements?

    You need to ask the college, not just an OPINION on here. I know you won't choose my answer anyway, but why in the world didn't you check things out before getting your apartment? It's called a college catalog.

did you tell them that you already had an apartment with a 2yr lease? If not I will discuss that with your couselor? It should be away around it unless you have a scholarship & thats a condition of the scholarship. you really need to ask the college these questions because each college have different rules & requirements.....good luck

get ready to move on campus!! you will have to follow their rules or else everybody could do what they wanted...just cancell the lease

Most schools have a formalized appeals process for everything. Find out what the appeals process is and do it. Although I doubt there is any formalized way to track those who are and aren't on campus. What are they going to do, send someone to meet you when you attend class and tell you you have to stop attending?

tell them the truth.. see whether they allow u to continue stay on your apartment.. if can't u have to get ready to start a new life in a new campus.. just treat it as an new exposure.
