How can I find out my Pell Grant status Online?

How do I find grant information for single parents that is NOT a federal pell grant?

• I'm a single mom and I am not currenlty eligible for financial aid/pell grants. I consolidated all of my student loans several years ago and very nearly have them paid off, or so I thought. I got a letter in the mail that stated I had a Federal Perkins loan that was defaulting. I went crazy trying to dig up all the info on my loans. Turns out, that loan was not included when my loans were consolidated. What gets me is that the college that backed my loan has had my address and number for years as they send me junk all of the time to donate to the school. So why was I never sent anything? This is besides the point. My loans were in good standing and now I have one in default.This makes me ineligible for financial aid and my pell grant. I am attending classes again in the fall. I have waited almost 6 years to go back because my son is now starting kindergarten. I guess what I need to know is are there truly (and I don't mean all the websites offereing fake money and just lead you to the Univeristy of Pheonix online) any grants from private organizations available? So many of them do no give to individuals. Any info would be appreciated.

  Sorry, there is no single parent grants. What people are referring to, is the ease of getting the pell grant since they have a child or children that live with them and do not receive support from the other parent. However, unless your school is your lender, the school has nothing to do with that perkins loan. Once you sign the promisary note, you are to keep up with it. Only thing you can do is try to consolidate that loan into your already consolidate loans and hope it takes it out of default.
