Can you still receive financial aid without a green card?

Financial aid issues?

  • how long should it take from the day you completed the application to the day you receive it? i have completed the application of the financial aid 2 months ago, i still didn't get it. when i ask the campus, they told me to submit the permanent resident card and highschool transcipt. do those two things needed for financial aid?

  • Answer:

If your financial aid office told you to submit your "permanent resident card" and "high school transcript," and you apparently haven't (since you're asking), why do you wonder why you haven't received any financial aid? If they're asking for the documents, obviously they need it, don't you think?

I believe from my college at first time entering school you need your proof of residence and GED/high school info. Now the fin. aid can take up to 90 days BUT usually doesnt. SO it would be a good idea to stay on top of it because alot of the times they will put your papers on a stack that will slowy get moved and then you have to file an appeal because they'll tell you it was either denied or its still getting approved.
