What to put on scholarship resume?

Creating a resume for scholarship?

  • I'm a junior in college and I'm applying for a scholarship. They need a resume and I was wondering if it is ok for me to include high school accomplishments (high school GPA, awards from AP tests, volunteer work in 11th grade, etc.). Since that's almost two years ago, I'm wondering if it will make me look bad if I put it on my resume.

  • Answer:

Yes, you should definitely include those. At your age, there is not much job experience to put on your resume, and anything that will show a sponsor that you can hold a job, do well in school, work hard, etc. will make them aware that you would be a great candidate for a scholarship. Two years ago might seem very long ago for you, but it will show that you have been a hard worker for several years. Good luck!
