Where can I find scholarships for undocumented students?

Answer:
Some US colleges and universities have scholarships (merit/grade-based) scholarships for just their own students. Generally colleges/universities supported by public/government funds (community colleges, state universities) will require U.S. citizenship or legal residency for a student to be eligible even for scholarships. If you are interested in some private/independent colleges/universities (not to be confused with for-profit/career/proprietary colleges) some of them may have scholarships that do not require U.S. citizenship or legal residency or may have scholarships for what are called "international students," students who are not U.S. citizens or legal residents of the USA. You will need to identify the schools that interest you and then hold a conversation (by phone or in-person) with a financial aid counselor at each school regarding scholarships and other financial aid for an undocumented student or an international student. You will find more information here: http://www.getreadyforcollege.org/gpg.cfm?pageid=1586 It is from the Minnesota Office of Higher Education and just lists schools in Minnesota, by the way. This web page will give you more leads: http://www.dreamactivist.org/faq/education/scholarships/ This link is to a Word document written for high school and college advisers regarding undocumented students: http://www.wacac.org/Resources/Documents/High%20School%20Counselor%20Toolkit/4.%20College%20Application%20Process/Resources%20for%20Undocumented%20Students.doc You may find some of the resources listed at the end of the document useful.
