Is financial aid for online students available?

Is financial aid available for law school students?

  • It's been a rough year in my house and it would really help. However, I'm pretty positive financial aid isn't available post undergrad but please let me know if I am wrong.

  • Answer:

The only form of financial aid available post grad is student loans. If you get in with a law firm as a intern or a legal assistant though, you may get some help with tuition. Good luck.

You are RIGHT, it is not. Reason being, everyone would qualify. By the time you are a grad student you are on your own, and you are not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week while enrolled full time (ABA rule). So every student would get it. Only way to finance law school is out of pocket or loans (usually private loans with higher interest rates at that).

Financial aid for grad school may be available, but all depends on your credit history, cosigner etc. You can always try applying but bear in mind they can be really stringent on who they lend to, regardless if it's federal or private loans.

Financial is available it depends on how much financial aid you have already received. You need to contact your college and talk with them regarding your options don't forget grants, scholarships the money is out there you just need to search a little.
