What colleges in CA allow you to choose your own roommate?

Finished high school want to join job corp and will job corp allow me to attend college while at job corp?

  • Will job corp allow me to work as many induvisual trades or jobs possible if I can keep them up. And if so how much will they pay me for each trade. How much money will I have if I complete a few trades in there plus completing the programe. How many hours does it take to complete a trade in a day or is it weeks, months, etc. And do I need to bring my own clothing or do they provide the money for that. And the field trips are there any and what are they. Are the teens to young adults friendly there can I choose my own roommate or will they pick for me? what if I don't get along with the roommate they might pick? Or could I opt out of a roommate I perfer my own room my own space!!!!! Oh almost forgot how do i get to the trades, jobs will they have someone to pick me up to take me there. Ok If they do allow me to do both the job corp and the college how will that work. And will job corp pay for my college education. What is the differance between a two year college and a four year college which one is best for me. how many degrees are there and list them, and what are they for. What is the differance between a career and a trade? Lastly if job corp don't pay for all my education I need financial aid right, will I need to pay that back or are there other payment option advailible like scolarships or grants do those need to be payed back.

Since you have loaded your question with many different questions, I will not have the room in Y!A to give you detailed answers to them. Instead, I can direct you to good sources of information and places there will be real people who can answer them. 1. If you haven't looked through the information on the Jobs Corps web pages, I recommend you do that - reading everything. Here is the link to the Job Corps home page: http://www.jobcorps.gov/home.aspx 2. Then, talk to a real person at the Jobs Corps location near you. He/she will be able to answer some, if not all of your questions about Job Corps. You can find the closest Jobs Corps location to you on this web page: http://www.jobcorps.gov/centers.aspx 3. For some of your questions further into your posting, if you have left high school within the past year or two, I recommend you telephone your high school, ask to talk with a HS guidance counselor, ask him/her if you may come to the office and ask some questions, make an appointment with the HS guidance counselor, go to the appointment, and ask the questions about * the difference between 2-year and 4-year college * the difference of a career/proprietary college compared to other colleges/universities * how to identify and select the best school of higher education for you * the number and kinds of degrees one can earn through a college/univ. education * the difference between a career and a trade - would attending a trade school be your best choice A HS guidance counselor can also explain higher education financial aid to you, including the differences between scholarships and grants, which do not need to be paid back, and loans which do need to be paid back. 4. If you choose not to talk with a guidance counselor at your former HS, then go to the local public library and ask a reference librarian to help you find information that will answer your college, career/trade, and financial aid questions. You will have to read the information a librarian helps you find. Please try to take all your concerns and questions one at a time. It will make the whole process of learning what you need to know and what want to learn a bit less stressful and easier to sort out. Librarians--Ask Us, We Answer! Find your local Public Library at: http://www.publiclibraries.com/ Best wishes
