How competitive is Hofstra University?

Should i go to hofstra university? but im thinking the money is too much ?? help?

  • I got into hofstra university in long island ny, but im thinking about the money that i will ave to pay after school, they dont really give alot of big scholarships plus my dad is no where close to even touching what it cost to go there per year. I also long island university brooklyn, univeristy of connecticut, university of hartford. i need some adivce quick.

    I think you should compare the educational and accreditation level on each one, in the end money comes and goes but education stays.

I went to Hofstra. Like most college students, I took out student loans (my parents couldn't afford to send me either). I also did a work study program on campus and had a regular job outside of school. Yes, it's a lot of money. I wouldn't worry about trying to pay it off. I'm 6 years out of college, with a part time job in retail and believe it or not, I'm actually almost done paying it all off. Then again, I worked full time for a few years and I'm currently back in school. But in all honesty, most people take 10+ years to pay back their loans, depending on when and how much they pay back at a time. Just go to the school that YOU want to go to. Don't worry about student loan payments just yet. Money shouldn't deter you from going to a good school that you like.
