I need help filling out FAFSA?

• Im trying to fill out my FAFSA application but i cant continue because im not sure what to put in my parents social security number section. they dont have social security numbers but they file taxes. on their tax forms a number is listed as their social security number. would it be ok to put that number?

  No, put all 9's like this: 99999999 where their social security number should be. Also, you can try to get them PIN numbers, but chances are they won't go through in a timely manner. After you submit your fafsa, select the "Print Signature Page" and have one of the folks sign the signature page and mail it to the address printed on the signature page. Waiting for a PIN for them will take ages and by doing this you can have it signed and mailed off the day you fill out the fafsa.
