Having a good GPA will set you on the right path. If you're good at writing essays, you can apply for a ton of scholarships. If you don't want to be cramped up in a room writing essays all day though, there are other ways to get scholarship money as well. There's no reason you shouldn't apply to as many as you are eligible for. Being in special circumstances can qualify you for some as well. Do a quick browse and you will find TONS of scholarships available.
