Where can i get bigger student loan?

Help!!! Where can I get a student loan that does not need to be confirmed by my university?

  • I am a junior in college and I didn't do so well when I went away for the first time this past semester. I am on academic probation and my loan through SallieMae will not work until I appeal my probation and get approved for this fall. I have no real reason other than laziness for doing so poorly, so I was wondering if anybody knew of a loan where the university doesn't have to confirm anything. I guess if I have a loan that doesn't need my schools confirmation, I can go back regardless if my appeal is approved. The only options I have are that and paying out of pocket which obviously I cannot do. Please don't tell me to search the internet for these types of loans...I have been doing that! Thanks for your help. Also, I'm looking for a loan that can be deferred until I graduate, nothing with rediculous interest rates or anything like that.

    Appeal your probation...that's your best bet. However, if it's denied, check out http://www.finaid.org/loans/privatestudentloans.phtml for a listing of private student loan lenders. At the bottom of the page is a list of lenders that do not require certification by the school. HOWEVER, be prepared for high fees and interest, and you'll just have to check to see if they'll defer payment until after graduation.

i don't know of any loans like this. if any exist, they will be hard to find, have really bad interest or other terms, and/or be sketchy. if the university doesn't need to confirmed the loan then there is no proof that you are using the money for school. you could use it for pretty much anything you want and the loan company would most likely lose money.

nobody will give you a student loan without verification from the school that you are eligible to recieve it and you are not .. Most student loans are deferred until you gradute.. If you are lucky to get a PERSONAL loan (which is what you will have to get to not get it verified) it will be based on income, credit, etc and will probably have HIGH interest rates. Your best option is to appeal the probation and hope for the best..
