What does Columbia University for journalism look for in college applications?

    Columbia Journalism is #1 in the country I think. I would guess you have to have everything, outstanding grades and test scores, glowing recommendations from qualified people, participation in school paper or other examples of publications that point towards your potential as a journalist, and well thought out essays that demonstrate not only your aptitude for journalism but what separates you from the rest of their applicants.

The Journalism school is a graduate school. You cannot go there until you've graduate undergraduate college. Columbia's undergraduate college is called Columbia College. They of course look at SAT scores, GPA, and in addition character, they don't care if you participated in a bunch of clubs that you didn't really care about. You're in middle school, lighten up.
