How do I ask someone to cosign a private student loan?
-
I need a private student loan in addition to other aid next year. It will be my senior year of college and I have a great GPA so far and am doing extremely well. My income isn't a lot, so all private lenders require me to have a cosigner. I want to ask either my in-laws or a specific friend. Those are really the only two options for me in terms of who to ask. Now I just need to know how to broach the subject. Any tips?

Answer:
I would just approach them and tell them how important education is to your future and ask them if they would help you by cosigning the loan. Also, where are you getting a private loan? I can't seem to find ANY since the credit crunch! :(
