  • My mom and I don't have too much money, but I want to go to this academic camp really bad. My mom is all for it, except for that it's really expensive. She says that she can manage about 1/2 of the cost and that I can go if I can make enough money for the difference or get a scholarship. I applied for a scholarship, but they said they rarely give money to people with a salary like my mom's. We definitely aren't rich, but we aren't below the poverty level-- the real problem is lots of legal bills because of my dad. Anyways, I want to go to this camp more than anything in the world and I don't think I'm going to get the scholarship. I'm 15 and live in Chicago. How can I get 1500 bucks? I wouldn't have to have all of it by June, but I need most of it cuz my mom can't give more money than she has. HELP PLEASE!!!

    Find stuff that people are looking for on Craig's list and sell it to them for a premium. Make sure you get a good price for the item. Ask your church or community organizations. You sound like a good kid. They should want to support you. Write your congressmen, mayor or Governor. You never know until you ask. Ask the camp if they have scholarships. Ask your school counselor. Hope it works out for you.

Donate plasma (costs about 20$ every two days) go through old clothes and sell them to Planet Exchange or Platos or something along those lines. Sell anything and everything on Ebay. Ask friends/family for any extra cash Get babysiting jobs or jobs doing yardwork/housework Thats all I can think of, good luck!

Rack leaves, mow lawns, and do yard work. Also, walk dogs, wash cars, wash windows, do laundry and light household work and rent yourself out doing odd jobs. If your mom is paying half, you should be responsible for the other half.

i suggest u do odd jobs. one can make at least 25 bucks a job for odd jobs. just go around ur neighborhood and ask if they need anything done for a small price. do as many as u can and dont spend any of it.

1) Take your things and sell them on EBAY. Have your mom set up an account for you. 2) Go to COSTCO and buy bulk candy bars or gum. Sell them at your high school for a mark up. When you get caught explain to your principal why you are selling candy at your school. 3) Stat a job at Chuck E. Cheese- I know this sounds stupid but this is what I did to raise $1500 fast! First, ask if you can work the birthday parties. At Chuck E. Cheese they do not pay you a waiter's salary they pay you minimum wage and every party gives their waiter a 10% tip. I use to walk out of the store with $500 a night, cash plus my pay check 4) Keep on calling the camp and BEG! Write letters, have your teachers, friends and parents to write letters. Make sure they know who you are and you will not back down. 5) Ask your local church to help you again write letters.
