How's life in San Luis Obispo?

Which is better... Cal Poly San Luis Obispo... or UC San Diego..?

i asked this before but no one answered it D: so im asking again.. i got accepted to both these colleges and i dont know where to go.. my major is going to be civil/structural engineering. so can you help by answering these questions: 1. does slo/sd have a lot of research opportunities or internships. 2. which college would help me more after i graduate. 3. which would have a better social life. besides partying... so like restaurants. malls... or add your own information or opinions....

Cal Poly is a state university and UC SD is a university of Cal. UC's have higher entrance requrements and therefore higher ratings. However, Cal Poly is one of the best state universities. I don't know anything specifically about their engineering programs.
