How to become a veterinarian?

  • I was just curious about this. Say I went to a college to become a vet technician, I got my certificate then began to work. What if I decide I want to become a vet? Then could I go directly to a vet college? How long would it take me to complete the programme to become a vet? It has just became my recent curiosity. Also, could you list a few vet schools in Canada? :)

    No, you would not be able to go directly to vet school. The vet tech degree does not contain the prerequisites required for vet school. You would need to start over to get those prerequisites completed.
