Volunteer work on Long Island?

Do you think I will be able to get into LONG ISLAND UNIVERSITY?

• Okay so I am a high school Junior. I had many factors that affected my grades. For the first two years of high school I was dealing with a form of bullying as well as mental and physical abuse. In the first part of my junior year (I am not at the beginning of the second part) I began to get sick a lot causing me to be absent from some important classes. My current GPA is a 2.5 or an 80 average. I know that it is important for me to bring that grade up to at least an 3.0 or an 85 average. Will it be possible for me to do this last semester (it ends June 14, 2012)???? I am also breaking my neck to get into Long Island University next year when I apply in senior year, particularly in the Pharmacy program or get into pre-pharmacy and then transfer after the first year to the Pharmacy program. If I bring my GPA up to a 3.0 by June, an SAT score of 1800/2400, an unending list of official extra curricular activities, an unending list of work history+volunteer work, a stellar essay explaining why my grades were bad, great references/recommendations, wonderful standardized test scores, setting a sports record, an honors English class (right now), taking A.P. Comp next year......DO I HAVE A GOOD CHANCE OF GETTING IN?????? Can you change programs once you get in? Can you apply to more than one program/major at a university? I.E. : If I apply to Pharmacy program, physical therapy program, and foreign language program/major to increase my chances of getting into that school?
