• I really want to go to Syracuse, but I didn't get any scholarship money and i tried to appeal but it didnt help Syracuse is my top school but i dont know how i would be able to pay back 50,000 a year for four years, i have other options like rutgers and Ithaca which i got scholarships to, but i would hate to not go to syracuse (my parents arent giving me any money for college so i would be paying everything) so my real question is...is Syracuse worth the money or should i go to a cheaper school that dont really want to go to?

  You can attend a cheaper school for a year, improve your grades and resume and transfer if you are unhappy. Think about how long it is going to take you to pay back $200,000 after you graduate (along with supporting yourself). The rule of thumb I've been taught that you should never take out more than 1-2 years expected salary for any degree. Ithaca is a decent school and Rutgers isn't half bad either. It's a whole lot of debt to put yourself in and will take a toll on the entire beginning of your adult life (think delaying marriage, house, cars, vacations and kids until you can afford it).
