  Given the abstract nature of the question, there is no difference. In the USA these degrees have not been awarded for many decades. Until the 1960s, a bachelor's degree in law was awarded at the end of a three-year graduate program in law for which an undergraduate degree many not have been required for admission by all law schools. Now a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree is awarded at the completion of law school. Bachelor's degrees in legal studies are awarded after four years of undergraduate school in the USA. They do not qualify the holder to take the bar exam or to practice law and are not particularly good preparation for law school. A J.D. degree is required to enter an LL.M. program in the USA, except for graduates of foreign law schools for whom special LL.M. programs exist at a few law schools. Ironically, a holder of a J.D. who is a graduate of a USA law school can study for the higher degree of LL.M. in a specialty such as tax law.
