Chances of getting into UT at Austin?

• Im out of state with a 4.0 weighted GPA ( my school doesnt rank). My SAT is 1900. I will graduate with an IB diploma. For extracurriculars I have been dancing for 13 years and put in about 20 hours a week. I also perform at charities and for the needy during the holiday season. For work experience, Ive been teaching dance classes for 4 years. I participated in a student ambassadors program over the summer and traveled to Europe. Also, as a refrence, I'm using someone I know who works at UT and the other is the CEO of a big company in Texas. Will this help and what are my chances?

  The admission criteria for UT Austin changes frequently because the Republican controlled State legislature refuses to fix the admission rules. Students in the top 8% [may have changed] are granted automatic admission to UT. Some spaces are held out for superior students from out of state. 1900 seems low to make the cut, but it is impossible to say for sure and the school you apply to matters. Consult the web site and give it a shot - but, apply elsewhere as well.
