Are there any scholarships for graduate school?

Are scholarships offered to students applying to graduate school?

  • i.e :law school, med school, etc.

  • Answer:

Yes! You should talk with the financial aid office at the school you are applying to. You could also get graduate fellowships, and you can get some money for teaching an undergraduate class...one of my friends got a 10,000 scholarship for her Masters in Social Work. Also if you are planning to work while attending grad school, then you might be eligible for tuition reimbursement from your place of employment! GOOD LUCK!!!

Some. Check with the financial aid office, and the deans office of the school (i.e. law school) he is majoring in.

If you're going for a Ph.D. then most good programs should give you free tuition as well as a monthly stipend. Law school and med school are more expensive, but some schools will offer merit scholarships. There are also outside scholarships and fellowships available, but those are harder to come by.

crystalrabbit7

Definitely. More merit based than need based scholarship.
