What is the % of international students (I'm from Australia) who get into Harvard college (undergraduates)?

9% of people who apply for Harvard College (Cambridge, Massachusetts) successully get into Harvard as an undergraduate. What is the international student percent? I am from Australia. When does the Harvard/USA year begin, go for a summer break and finish up for the year? If your parents are earning over $100000 (just over) US do your parents receive financial aid as an international student (there are 3 kids in my family...my parents couldn't afford to pay $48000per year for me alone). How much financial aid would we get? Their income will become alot lower (50% less) within a year. They (Harvard) make you list your parents income for the last 3 years..what happens if their income goes to about $60000US a year (for the next few years?)? Would they have to pay much towards the fees even though the previous year it exceeded $100000US.

Answer:
I'm not too sure about some of your questions because I don't go to Harvard, but usually you would want to begin applying a year before you will attend, so if you want to start in the Fall of 2008, you'll want to apply this fall, 2007. Most universities have an early application process that begins September 1. Usually summer break begins mid-may and lasts until last week of August or first week of September. I know a guy who goes to my school who is from Mexico and he said he wasn't able to get financial aid because he isn't a US citizen, so you'll have to check into that. For Harvard, I'm pretty sure you'd have to take the SATs. The ACT is generally used in the midwestern part of the US. Good luck getting in!!!

call the financial aid office, i dont think anyone on here will have the right answer. your questions are very detailed. it takes 4 years to graduate...they took the SAT when i applied but im sure it's on the admissions website why do u want to go there exactly? you're very intent on getting in but dont seem to know much about the school. im not trying to pick on you but i was the same way...and also ended up at an ivy league school similar to harvard...and realized i made a big mistake. i just wanted validation of my intelligence.
