How far is it from Berkeley Amtrak to UC Berkeley?

Questions about UC Berkeley and college admissions.?

• Okay, I'm a Junior in High School, and I have a 4.14 GPA, 3.6 unweighted, both of which should go up quite a bit this semester because I will probably have almost all A's. I got an 1890 my first SAT, and I took it again and will get my results back soon (I am expecting this one to be higher, around 2000+). I am on a nationally ranking high school newspaper (I am a copy editor and will hopefully be a Page Editor next year, both leadership positions). You receive a grade in the class, but it is 7th period, while most students only go until 6th period. I will be volunteering at a 6th grade environmental camp next week and a summer camp this summer, which should get me a few hundred volunteer hours. My first question is: What are my chances of getting into Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara? My second question is: If I take an online psychology course through Berkeley, will it affect my GPA (is so, is it weighted)? Will it count towards my premajor at Berkeley and other UCs? and will it increase my chances of getting into Berkeley (or another UC) since I took one of their courses already? My last question is: Does my first semester of Senior year affect the GPA that Berkeley and UC Santa Barbara see? I realize I submit my application before the end of that semester, but they don't make decisions until mid March. if you can only answer some of my questions, that is greatly appreciated as well. thank you :)

  You certainly will get into UCSB. You have a very good chance of getting Berkeley if you can raise your GPA to 3.8. and your SAT to 2000. They can ask to see the first semester senior grades if they think that the information will make a difference in your admission. That's all the info I have on your questions.
