What can be an alternative major if I can't get into a Nursing Program?

I plan on applying to UCI as a Transfer into their Nursing Program. When I apply I would apply with another Major and if I get accepted into the Nursing Program that's when I'll change my Major. I'm thinking about Majoring in Psychology, but I need some other suggestions? Can can you recommend me any good CSU & UC with a good Nursing Program with no waiting list?

Answer:
You can almost always take a 2yr RN Nursing program at a private college. But they are expensive. Later you retun to university for an RN>>>BSN program.
