What is the IB Program?

What is the benefit of the IB program when student go to university? is he be favourite than other P schools?

My son studies in an IB School and we thought this should help him being having better chance with universities. i.e; does universities in Canada prefer IB students? or it is only for the student sake only and doesn't affect the university decision?
Answer:

You bet they like it. You can even earn advanced placement in college/university with an IB diploma. Think about it this way- I'm seriously considering commuting an hour each way to a public school in my state to be in their IB program (starting next year). So yeah, tell your son to stick with it!
