What are the best public and private schools in Florida?

• I am interested to know what schools in my state are publicly well received as fine institutions. I would really value your input, because it would help me make a crucial decision about transferring.

• Answer:

  The only universities I consider good are University of Florida, University of Miami and Florida State University. In addition to these universities, I have heard really good things about The New College of Florida which is a liberal arts college. Some people might include schoolslike the University of Central Florida or the University of South Florida. You can certainly get a good education at these two schools -- but they don't really compare to the first four. Florida doesn't rank very high on my list of states with great universities. But there are a few good ones.
