How to do Medical Coding and Billing course or whatever?

• Hi, Im taking online Medical billing and Coding so far I reached around 15% of the course and the codes plus the ICD and the Hcpcs are pretty complicated and not easy to understand . I was wondering if their is any kit that u can buy that would explain the course for u ? or maybe notes that u can order ? or maybe DVDs that explains the material ?? or any suggestions that u have. plus Im going have to take ICD STATE exam , PCP State EXAM. AMba EMAX. so u r help is really appreciated .

  I found it easier to not worry so much about the codes but understand how to classify and find them. I work with coding everyday and it can get pretty frustrating. But having the medical knowledge first is a big help because the slightest difference in the diagnosis means a difference in the coding. Also, ICD-9 is about to be obsolete. Right now our office is getting ready for the ICD-10 codes that will be in effect soon. If you think it's frustrating now. ICD-10 will be 7 characters long of numbers and letters, and the coding will be very detail and more specific. It gives me a headache just thinking about it now.
