What are some good colleges for a film making major?

Should I major in film or photography?

  • So I am a going to be starting my last year of high school in a couple of months which means that I will be applying to colleges. Up until now I have had my heart set on being a film major but now I think I should switch to photography. Photography is like second nature for me; I have won awards and I have enough photographs to make a decent portfolio. I have only made one film so far but I have won an award for it and I was planning on making more in the summer. It would be easier and in the long run more profitable for me to do photography, but I feel that film is my "destiny" and I still have that life-fable that I will be a famous director or whatever and I am hestitant to completely give that up. Which should I choose? Also it would probably be easier for me to get teacher reccomendations in photography.
