Careers in criminal justice or legal field?

Criminal Justice major problem?

  • I know I want to be in the Criminal Justice field, and I am attending John Jay College, but I don't know exactly what specific area I want to deal with. I don't want want to be anything like in fire science, correctional, Computer Information Systems, Deviant Behavior and Social Control, Forensic Science, Police Studies, Security Management, Justice Studies, Forensic Psychology, Government, Judicial Studies, Legal Studies, or Public Administration. I know Im a mess, but I am in the Criminal Justice B.A. major? What careers are there for Criminal Justice that doesnt involve or has little to do with the above, or anything? And is there any careers that involve international work, like traveling to places, I love those types of careers ;)

  • Answer:

Ouch...so why are you taking this degree program?? You might see if your college has an International Studies program or Foreign Studies program...or Ethnic Studies, European Studies. Also, get on the FBI, Interpol, CIA websites and look at their jobs they have and the requirements as far as degrees goes - that will help you get more specific as to what you want to do.
