What do the levels mean in college? (Level 1, level 2 and level 3)?

When applying for a college course it gives the option of Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3. What do these mean? Thanks. :)

If your talking about Btec, level 1 is for e-d grades , level 2 is I'd you have 4 D grade GCSE's and level 3 is 5 a-c gcses . All Including math and english
