Medical question?

Question about the process of pre-medical/medical school?

• I'm about to be a senior at high school and I'm looking into colleges in the Boston area that have pre-medicine. I've found a perfect college but now I have a question about what I will do when I get my pre-medical bachelor's degree: So, I graduate with the degree in hand. Do I find work immediately WHILE I'm reapplying to a graduate medical school? Say I don't get accepted to any that I apply to, will I have a steady job until the next year when I reapply again? I'm confused and scared that after I graduate with pre-med, I will be stuck in a non-medical job. Also, I will be going to an optometry graduate school, if that helps- maybe I can get a job at a local Lenscrafters, etc, while I'm waiting for an acceptance letter from graduate school? Please, explain this process to me, especially if you've gone through this yourself! Thank you thank you!

  i'm in the same position as you, i'm trying to find a major for my premed that i'll like and can get good money from, acceptance to medical school is really hard, and i'm gonna try my best to do it, but you have to have a good back-up plan because it's not easy. i think you can apply the year after if you didn't get accepted, but i read on a website that when you apply to med school you should choose one from the top school, a good one and a one that you'll be almost guaranteed to get into. good luck and i hope someone who knows more will answer you
