What are the requirements to study abroad at LSE (London School of Economics?

How is a graduate degree at London School of Economics seen in the US?

  • I am a US citizens going to a fairly good undergraduate university. I am graduating this semester and trying to decide what to do next. My question to you is how would the following university rank from a US perspective; specifically, from a US governmental perspective. - London School of Economics - Georgetown - New York University - Columbia I am interested in getting a masters in International Relations or in Diplomacy. I really want to know how LSE looks compared to the other universities. If it ranks better, could you offer an explanation? I have always been interested in going to LSE, which is why I ask.

  • Answer:

I'm a high school senior and even I've heard of LSE, then again I'm considering majoring in economics. LSE is pretty well known and most employers will recognize the name. Also, the fact that it's overseas might be a bonus because it would be international. Georgetown, NYU, and Columbia all have just about the same prestige, but I'd rank Columbia highest. If you want to consider something for diplomacy, Tufts has a great school for that too and it's pretty well known (Bill Richardson went there). I'm not sure I made any sense, but good luck deciding!
