Do you think I'll get into Stanford University?

  • I'm a junior right now, aiming high for Stanford! It's been my dream school forever. White Female from Madison, Wisconsin GPA: 3.58 (I got a 3.0 in 9th grade, it was 4.0 all of 10th and 11th) Weighted GPA: 3.76 ACT: 34 SAT: 2100 National Honor Society Class President Student Senate Varsity Volleyball- 3 years Captain Varsity Skiing- Captain 5 years Varsity Track- State Qualifier Literature of America Organizer 3 Musicals: 2 leads 2 Plays: 1 lead School Anti Racism Committee Environmental Club Peer Tutor- over 100 hours, 4 service credits Peer Mediator- 10 hours, 1 service credit AP English 11... 5 AP English 12... ? AP Env. Sci...? AP Psychology... 5 AP Euro... 4 AP Micro Econ,.. 5 AP Macro Econ... 5 AP Bio... 3 AP Chem... 5 AP Physics... ? I'm a PSEO Student ( HS senior in college; Enrolled in 3 classes at UW Madison, and have a 3.6 GPA there) National Medical Scholars Association Certified Lifeguard 2-4 recs, all good So do you think I'll get into Stanford??

    I wish I can give you a credible answer but the truth, quite frankly, is that you never know. You do however, look like a very strong, well-qualified applicant (at least more qualified than me when I applied). I think you have a good chance. HOWEVER...Stanford is known for being particular. They take pride actually in rejected people with almost perfect SATs/GPAs etc. You NEVER know what they look for. I know someone ALOT less qualified than you who got in last year. But other than that...to me u look like you have a really good chance! Good luck! make sure you have a school or two to fall back on just in case! STanford was extremeley selective this year 9.5% and will continue to be selective.

maybe, u have enough extracurricular activities, focus more on studying so u can get a 4.0 again and maybe take a few AP classes Good Luck :)

YEAH! But the White female part....the majority of the school is White..if you were a minority then ethnicity might help. The fact your out of state helps. Good job!

extracurriculars are good. but the gpa could be a bit higher...definitely apply, you have at least a chance. what's your rank? good luck, stanford is a beautiful campus
