Will a bachelors degree in psychology get you into a good law school?
-
I am a junior in college, majoring in psychology, and I am interested in law. I don't want to change my major, but I am interested in working for an agency that helps the environment or education. What do law schools look for on your transcripts?
-
Answer:
Your major is irrelevant when applying to law school, unless you majored in criminal justice. In that case, you would be at a disadvantage. However, you will want to be developing reading, analysis, and writing skills somehow.

Law schools don't care about what you majored in. For example, I know a practicing lawyer who majored in Interior Design as an undergrad. They care about your GPA and your LSAT score. As a junior, you should start studying for the LSAT and be prepared to take it your senior year if you want to go to law school right after graduating college.
