What Is Public Finance?

What major to choose,Accounting or Finance?

• I am judging on the basis of: 1. Salary. 2. How interesting the job is to me. 3. Job opportunity. In this area of the world(United Arab Emirates), there are a lot of jobs for Accounting majors. The Big 4 hire a lot. Finance majors have to struggle a lot for a job. No matter how good they are out of College, they will most likely end up jobless. My seniors who are Finance majors are willing to change their majors to Accounting based purely on the fact that getting a finance job is so hard. But Accounting is really boring for me, i wont mind doing accounting if the job market for finance is the same. But i would prefer finance since its so much more intersting to me. Apart from the 3 criteria's, could you suggest why one major is better than the other?
