Can a person earn more in india than america?

I need to know how much does a person earn after completing Msc Biotec in India or abroad?

  • i am about to take up a course on Msc Biotechnology in Australia , and am a bit confused coz i think people in India are earning more than what most people with this kind of a qualification are in the MNCs. I believe the starting salaries will be somewhere around 8k in a research lab and will increase upto 14k with a li'l time n effort but then one has to do a phd to aim for 40 to 50k. Is this true?
