Do You Think College Students Should Be Allowed To Carry Concealed Firearms On Campus?

  • This is a very debatable topic. Whether or not you have a gun carrying license most college campuses ban all firearms, so you would be convicted of a felony if found out to be carrying a gun on campus. Do you think that students with the proper license and qualifications should be allowed to carry their guns on campus? Mind you these are adults and not elementary and high school students.

You notice how gun free zones usually only have one person carrying a gun or guns at the time of their rampage. Those little "GUN FREE ZONE" signs did not do their job.

What would be a legit need for firearms on campus? School is supposed to be a learning environment, bring weapons of any kind on campus goes against the basic makeup of an educaitonal setting. No I don't see a reason for it.

My wife is a Community College administrator. On a daily basis, she has to deal with students who are in various stages of emotional and/or mental illness or distress. If weapons were allowed, parents would never allow their children to go there, faculty would quit, and I would insist my wife find another job. Part of her job is to discipline students. How would you like to tell a student they are expelled not knowing if they had a loaded gun?
