Is a computer science degree any good for computer forensics?

Criminal justice/computes/science degree?

• Trying to decide what i should go into. For the past couple weeks i've been focusing on schools with good computer programs. Still not sure what exactly in computers i should(if) study into (there is alot). i like computers, and my schedule im in now is mostly computer based. but an interest of mine came up recently, that i had in mind since middle school, i wanted to go into forensic and be like a csi. Be the person that does all the crime lab stuff to find the bad guys.(if you watch the show NCIS like what abby does ;) i still think that would be kinda cool to go into. my question is basically is there a way to combine a computers degree with criminal justice degree and be a forensic person but have the knowledge and backup with to work with computers? or do i need to like major in biology or different kind of science( i like science so i think i can do it) minor in criminal justice to be a forensics?other way around? Not many schools i know of offer a forensics degree too you need to like play around with it. Also is it better to be a a police officer first before a forensic person. i hear that you need to have a backup just in case you get injured. also with majoring in computers i think you would make more money but notsure. idk i have many interests and im conflicted plz help

  There is the field of computer forensics, you should google it. You wouldn't study biology or anything like that for it though, I think if you were to go into computer forensics it would be purely a computer thing.
