Question about becoming a Physician Assistant?

• To get into the PA Program, I heard you can major in anything. I'm thinking of Psychology Major. Would that be okay? Or do you have any suggestion? Thankss!

  I would major in physics, chemistry, or biology. Something related to the sciences field. It would probably be better to minor in something like psychology. They prefer students with a science background and students that have taken more science classes than the required minimum. PA programs are competitive and most students, 90% of admitted students have a major in the science field. Psychology at my school is very easy, most students get straight A's but as a biology major, it's a different story, getting an A is almost impossible since only 10-15% of the class can only get an A. You can major in anything but having a solid science background is definitely a better route. However if you perform poorly in your studies than you'll have to consider changing your major, or even different career paths. It also depends on the level of difficulty of your undergraduate institution, mines is a tier 1, top 200 schools in the nation. There's something like 4000-5000 colleges across America
