Chances at Michigan State University?

What are my chances of getting into Michigan State University?

  • I'm currently a sophomore in high school. My high school isn't one of the best high schools though. I've been a varsity cheerleader since 2010 and I recently became cheer captain. I'm involved in a group called SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions), a group called WOT (Women of Tomorrow), and I'm on several honor roll lists. My GPA was a 3.7-3.9 last year but now it's a 3.5-3.6 but I'm going to get it back up. I volunteer at a hospital and I'm getting a job. I haven't taken the ACT yet but will Michigan State University accept me? I'm hoping to get anything between a 23-27 on the ACT so what are my chances? Does the high school I graduate from determine my admission?

I'd say you're chances are good. As long as your ACT is decent and your GPA is high, MSU will should accept you with those extracurriculars. One of my friends was accepted there a few years ago (but times may have changed) and he had a 3.3 GPA appx, but his major wasn't very popular- he'd never found anyone with the same in his big high school. But it depends on your major. If a ton of kids are interested in a certain major, they won't accept all of them simply because they won't have room. I hope I've helped in some way!

All depends on that act score. Wy don't you just ask next year when you know your score.
