How do get a job before you move somewhere?

How can you get a job in London, before you move there?

• Hi, I'm wanting to go back to Uni next September, I currently live in Newcastle but I'm wanting to study in London. I'm fully aware that this can't be achieved without a job. Now, how does one get a job in London, without really being available for interview considering the costs to get down there are extortionate. :/ Please help me? People do it all the time, I've just never actually got how it's done. Also, as a side question, how much is the cost of living down there?

  It will be difficult as most companies would prefer an interview in person. However, it's not uncommon to be offered a phone interview. You should just look on job sites for London and see which ones offer phone interviews. Or you could just ask your current work if you can be transferred to a branch in London.
