When will I know when I got accepted into college?

When should I let my boss know I got accepted to a college?

• I just got a new job at a locate retail store. And I also got accepted to school for Sept 2012. Full time. I got the job offer last week and Im starting this week monday. I was kind of caught off guard and I forgot to ask some questions. I didn't have an interview for this job. They just told me to come in and start training ASAP. I didn't tell them I was going back to school. Its too early to say and I didn't want them to change there mind about giving me the offer. When would be the best time to let them know so that its not inconvenient for them? ps. the employer said the position is mid days and weekends PT, and asked if i can work that. So i don't know if they only accepted me based on that answer. Right now I can work whatever hours because im not in school yet. ALso, i don't know if i can work part time when school starts because the program is going to be intense. Its only ONE YEAR in length. Thank you for answering.

  To secure your income over the summer you may want to wait until just a couple weeks before you're going to start school. If this is an intense 1 year program then it would probably be best if you don't work if you can do that. If that is what you decide, then just put in your 2 week resignation letter mid-August and say nothing about school now. Good luck with school!!
