Is Public Relations a good career to go into?

What can you do with a major (Bachelor's degree) in Public Relations and minor in economics?

• I am freshman at a university, and have been debating over the issue of which field should I go into. I went to a visual performing arts school, and have strongly accelerated in theatre. I am extremely outgoing and LOVE working with people and ideas. I am into Politics and a bit into Economics. As of now I have picked a major in Public Relations mixed with a minor in Economics. Do you think that it's a good combination? What are some of the proffesions that I might be able to go into, specifics will help a lot. Plus, I would also like to know how good are my chances of getting a job with such education after college? What do you think? I am also interested in doing film acting while in school and after graduation. I've decided to go and get educated as a back-up plan if my acting career doesn't work out. Even if it does I would still like to use my education to the best of my intentions. P.S. I've been also thinking of getting a masters of PR, after 2 or 3 years of my Bachelor's. Thank you. :)

  Yeah, you should probably get your Masters. You could probably get a nice PR job, because your minor in econ will make you more attractive to employers. Does your university have a career center? They might be able to help.
