How can I transter from CSU to UC?

CSU or CCC and wait to transfer to a UC?

  • I'm a senior in high school but I don't know what to do. When I was younger I never thought I could go to good college like Fresno State a CSU. Well I got accepted. However, I don't know if to go to CSU or community college then transfer to a UC. Also I have no idea what to major in. I'm thinking about business but I don't. Maybe how to open a business, how to handle money. Then after I know how to do this things, I can open by own business. I really want to know how to handle money to help my self and other people but I don't what major is that. Im also continue to have a hard time. I don't what is best. My mom wants me to go to Fresno State but I'm not sure yet. What would you recommend.

  • Answer:

Business is the right major for you, possibly Finance but you're thinking about opening a Business so it would be advantageous to know the other aspects of Business, not just the money part. CSU's are good schools. UC's are more challenging, more competitive, in general. But you should visit the places you are interested in. To be honest with you, because just about every school has a business degree, you should really look at where you want to live, where you do you feel most at home, where do you think you will like your friends the most (new friends). Both UCs and CSUs are good. Personally I did the CCC to UC transfer and I think it is not the right thing to do because you get there when you're a junior, and it is a lot more lonely and you have to do a lot more work to meet friends. Most students there already did a lot of socializing there in the freshman/sophomore year and made up all their friends, so they aren't as friendly in class at junior year because they';ve already made friends. For me, I felt like I was just "some guy" in class, nobody ever said hi to me except during summer school when I mixed with some of the frosh. People like to try and elevate their colleges way above others, but to be honest they all have to be accredited and are much more similar to each other than how high schools can be completely ghetto and graduate someone who knows how to read vs. college prep high schools. It's better to have the 4 year experience and live on or near campus. Also, if you have any concerns about finance it's good to keep that in consideration, it does make a big difference.
