  • Answer:

Take professional school, and work on painting as a hobby. Painting is great, but if you are already good at it, I think you could help yourself out by learning something new.

Go the creative way, so the government can support you in 10 years.

Anything that doesn't require you to spell English is what you should do.

Go with your heart.....if you are young, you can change your mind later, but explore your art! Don't spend the balance of your life wishing you had taken the other route.

Totally up to you for what you are comfortable with. I myself was an artist as a child. Then as college approached my business side showed. I ended up in the business world and owned a few. Now as I am reaching 40 I am throwing all the business stuff out the window and going back to art. Money does not make one happy....being happy makes one happy. Do the career that makes you smile every day, makes you feel good about what you did, what you accomplished, etc.

i guess logically business would be the best choice, however you should do whichever you are most passionate about because without passion you will never succeed, you will become burned out in a couple years time and no longer enjoy life. You know deep down in your heart what is right for you and you should follow that instinct. Logic isn't always the answer...sometimes you just have to follow your heart... I wish you the best in whatever you choose :)

Dear Kiran, In India, artists are no longer the near-starving, bearded jolna-bagged wierdos. With creative work outsourced, there are a lot of jobs and very few designers and artists. I have been both for 15 years, and used to go all around the city for work then. Now I boune off some work I get to my friends as jobs come to me automatically. So, if you decide to take the creative route, don't worry about the money. You being good at studies will get you other successes in art, as art needs intelligent people today. And one day, your regular business skills will help you strike it bigger! One secret I have: since i have chosen something I normally did for entertainment in my schooldays, I have never worked hard in my life. I play for my pay! Wishing you the best whatever you choose. I would go with the BBA. Having a creative flair will add an immense benefit to your career. Plus, with a degree in business, you can always have a career in the creative field, but not vice versa. I have a degree in business and paint in the evenings... I also plan on starting a company soon on a more creative tract, but I've found my business education very beneficial to everything I've done thus far.
