What college has the best archaeology program?

University of Edinburgh or Durham for archaeology and medieval studies? Also which is harder to get into?

• I am an American sophomore in high school an it my dream to become an archaeologist. I think that Durham looks like my dream college but Edinburgh also seem very good. I really like Durham partially because of the setting, lots of tree (i live in the woods so i really like trees) but not to far from a city, that it has beautiful old buildings and that it is apparently the 3rd best archaeology college in england. Honestly I don't know much about Edinburgh. It seems o have a very good archaeology program, but my main problem is I can't really find many good pictures of the place. But anyway, which do you think better archaeology and medieval study programs? Please tell me somethings about Edinburgh I don't know, thank you!

  Both are very good Universities, equally difficult to get into. Edinburgh is a very beautiful and ancient city, quite similar to Durham I would suggest. If you go to either of these Universities they would both open a world of options to you. I think I would probably go for Edinburgh if it was me, it's a lot colder though! Really it's your own personal choice, either would serve you well.
