Try to get a job with a company that does what you intend on doing when you finish school. Stay away from fast food unless that is your dream

I would have said fast food too, but a lot of my friends do the waitress/waiter thing at their favorite family restaurants. Also, if you speak well, you could do telemarketing. They have good hours for college students and they usually can work around your schedules. I've also heard that some do tuition incentives (pay your school loans for you and pay for your school). Good luck

-Work on campus: many of the jobs let you study while you work -Waiting tables: tips -Gas station: high pay and you usually only work four days a week

On campus jobs are the best in my opinion, especially when you are a full time student. You can work in the administration dept., financial aid ofice, EOPS office, as a tutor, a billingual tutor, in the bookstore, in child care building and helping disable students. There is a lot more on -campus jobs too. Also go to your on-campus jobs counselor (cuz therez always one) they help you out a lot as they find you the job you want to do. Good luck....

anything that pays above the minimum wage is good the higher, the better the objective is to make as much as possible given the same amount of time & effort

If at all possible, try to get a job on campus. You're more than likely eligible for federal work study. If you're GPA keeps you from working at school, then work a register somewhere, like at a Gamestop or Hollywood Video. Places like Dick's Sporting goods don't do any *tests* either, if you catch my drift. ;) There's also waiting tables at a restaurant, those jobs tend to be easier to get for college students.
